I have worked at Dairy Queen® since I was 18. Now 13 years later, my position may have changed, but I am still making blizzards. I was born in Wichita, KS, and Wichita has been my home my entire life. I have a degree from Wichita State University in Communication with an emphasis in Electronic Media. 

Leadership was never something I ever aspired to career-wise, however, I was chosen for the role and I believe in doing any duty to its fullest. Being at Dairy Queen® for a few years, I have learned the importance of great leadership, which I am still learning, and how it can change the environment of the workplace. 

One of the best feelings you can get about your job is the sense of pride. The feeling of pride that I receive when you see someone smile after you flip a Blizzard® is one of my favorite things about Dairy Queen®. 

It is my honest and trueest belief that Dairy Queen has the absolute best soft serve in the world. You cannot beat it. The Peanut Buster Parfait® is a very unique treat that I do not get to enjoy often, but it is hands down my favorite.

Hello! I grew up in Bakersfield, California, and went to a Vocational School. There I was certified/ registered in Dental Assisting. Very shortly after starting my career, I realized it just wasn’t for me. I enjoy serving others, making people smile, and teaching others to be the very best they can be.

I found myself applying for a position in a pizza restaurant known as Round Table Pizza. Not long after I started, the owners and manager saw my potential and began to train me as an Assistant. Not long after that I became the manager, I finally found what I enjoyed doing and knew that it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I moved to Wichita, Kansas towards the end of 2019, right before the pandemic hit, and was able to become part of the Dairy Queen® Family. I have worked here for almost two years. 

What do I love about Dairy Queen®?? The answer is not that simple because there is not just one answer. I love that I work for an amazing family man who has the most respectful family who is willing to come and help out when needed. I love that we are not just co workers who punch in and out, but sort of like a big family who genuinely cares about each other. It has truly been a blessing to work and shape young people into growing successful adults. I am eager to see what the future holds and am grateful for the opportunity here.

I grew up with Dairy Queen® almost my entire life.  

Born and raised in Augusta, I joined the Dairy Queen® family as a teenager and worked there for two years while in high school. I enjoyed my time so much, I decided to return to DQ® after raising two children.

After eight years as a shift lead, then as assistant manager; I now serve as the general manager of the Dairy Queen® in Augusta, Kansas.  

My favorite part about working at Dairy Queen® is the people; customers and employees alike. My DQ people are my second family.  

My favorite DQ® treat would have to be the Oreo Blizzard!

I am married with three children. We are originally from California, and relocated to Wichita in July of 2019. I have worked for Dairy Queen® for two years.

I can honestly say I love what I do, where I do it, and who I do it with. The people I work with are not just co-workers/employees, they have become friends and family.

Some of my favorite things about working at Dairy Queen® are the worship music playing in the lobby, a fun and friendly work environment and making fans smile and laugh. 

My favorite Blizzard is the Sea Salt Toffee Fudge Blizzard. 

Everyday at DQ® is an adventure! I am glad to be a part of the team and look forward to growing in my leadership role.
